What the Object Remover can do

Erase unwanted objects from photos by describing them in plain words.

Describe, no brushing

Type what should disappear, such as 'the man on the left' or 'the trash can'. There is no brush, mask or selection tool to fiddle with.

Background-aware fill

The default Object Removal model is built for this one job. It fills the cleared area with texture and light that match the surroundings.

Four models available

Switch to Nano Banana, Nano Banana 2 or FLUX.2 Pro for a second attempt. They follow a 'remove X, change nothing else' instruction.

Clear credit costs

The default remover costs 2 credits. Nano Banana and FLUX.2 Pro cost 3, and Nano Banana 2 costs 5. You see the price before you click, and failed removals are refunded.

Works on everyday photos

Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF or HEIC image up to 10 MB. Phone snapshots, product shots and scanned prints all work fine as input.

Private by default

Every cleaned photo is saved privately in My Creations, so you can download it again later. Nobody else sees your results unless you share them.

When to erase objects from a photo

Common reasons people clean up a picture.

Remove tourists from travel photos

Clear strangers out of a landmark shot so the building or view becomes the focus, while the framing and light stay the same.

Tidy up product shots

Erase price stickers, stray cables or a smudge on the table from a product photo before it goes into a listing.

Clean up property photos

Take trash bins, parked cars or countertop clutter out of real-estate photos so rooms and exteriors look ready for a listing.

Fix family snapshots

Remove a photobomber, a sign post behind someone's head, or a distracting object in the corner of a favorite family picture.

How to remove an object

Three steps from upload to a clean photo.

1

Upload your photo

Add the single image you want to clean up. Sharp, well-lit originals give the AI more surrounding detail to rebuild the background.

2

Name what to remove

Type a short description such as 'the red car' or 'the text in the corner'. Keep the default Object Removal model for most photos.

3

Check and download

Compare the result with the original, then download it. If the fill looks off, rephrase the description or try another model.

Tips for cleaner results

Small changes that help the removal look natural.

  • Point to the object precisely

Use position, color and size, like 'the small white boat on the right', so the AI leaves similar objects alone.

  • Remove one thing at a time

In busy photos, remove the biggest distraction first, then upload the result again for the next object. Each pass is charged separately.

  • Switch models for tricky fills

If the default leaves a smudge on a complex pattern, try Nano Banana or FLUX.2 Pro with 'remove the lamp, change nothing else'.

  • Upscale small images afterward

Removal keeps the size you upload. If the photo is small, run the cleaned result through the Image Upscaler before printing it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about removing objects from photos on Flux.art.

Upload the photo, type something like 'the person in the red jacket', and click Remove Object. The AI erases that person and fills the space to match the background behind them.

The default Object Removal model costs 2 credits per image. Nano Banana and FLUX.2 Pro cost 3, and Nano Banana 2 costs 5. Failed removals are refunded automatically.

One JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF or HEIC image up to 10 MB per removal. Clear, well-lit photos work best, because the AI rebuilds the cleared area from nearby detail.

Start with Object Removal, a purpose-built remover that fills the area to match the background. If the result is not right, try a general editor such as Nano Banana or FLUX.2 Pro.

Objects that cover most of the frame, or sit in front of text or faces, are harder to fill convincingly. The AI invents what was hidden, so the fill is plausible rather than exact.

You can describe watermark text and the AI will try to erase it. Only do this on images you own or may edit, because removing watermarks from someone else's work may violate copyright.

Yes. You own the results and may use them commercially under the Terms of Service. You are responsible for having rights to the photo you upload, including people or brand logos in it.

Results are private by default and appear only in your My Creations page, where you can download past edits again. Nothing is ever published unless you choose to share it yourself.
