What AI Interior Design can do

Visualize a new look for a real room, or imagine one from scratch.

Redesign Room Tab

Upload a photo of your room and describe a style. The AI keeps the layout, walls, windows, doors and camera angle while changing furniture, materials, colors and decor.

Generate Design Tab

Describe a room in words and get a photorealistic interior photo in a 4:3 frame. It works well for mood boards and early ideas before you have the space.

Your Layout Stays

Because the room's structure is preserved, you can compare redesigns side by side and judge each new style against the space you actually live in.

Any Style You Can Name

Try Scandinavian, Japandi, industrial, mid-century or coastal, or describe your own mix of materials and colors. Each new prompt gives you another version to compare.

Model Choice

Redesign Room defaults to Nano Banana and Generate Design to FLUX.2 Pro, both 3 credits. Nano Banana 2 and GPT Image 2 cost 5.

Saved to My Creations

Every design is stored privately in My Creations. Download your favorites to share with a partner, landlord or contractor when you talk through what to change.

Ways people use AI interior design

Try ideas on screen before spending money on them.

Preview a renovation

See how new flooring, cabinets or wall colors might look in your kitchen before you commit to materials or call a contractor.

Stage an empty listing

Show buyers or renters how a bare room could be furnished by redesigning a photo of the empty space in a welcoming style.

Pick a style for a new home

Generate the same living room in several styles to agree on a direction with everyone who will live there before shopping for furniture.

Pitch ideas to clients

Interior designers and decorators can produce quick concept visuals for a client meeting, then refine the chosen style in a second round.

How to redesign a room with AI

Three steps from photo or idea to finished design.

1

Choose a tab

Pick Redesign Room to restyle a photo of a real space, or Generate Design to create a new interior from a written description.

2

Add photo and style

For Redesign Room, upload a room photo up to 10 MB and describe the style, such as 'warm Scandinavian with oak floors and a linen sofa'.

3

Generate and compare

Check the credit cost, click Generate Design and review the result. Run more styles on the same photo and compare them in My Creations.

Tips for better room designs

Get more realistic, useful results from your room photos.

  • Photograph the room from a corner

A wide shot from a corner shows more walls and floor, giving the AI space to place furniture while keeping the room recognizable.

  • Name materials and colors

Instead of only 'modern', say 'white walls, walnut furniture, black metal lamps, wool rug'. Specific materials produce more useful, realistic designs.

  • Use good daylight

Bright, evenly lit photos without strong shadows or motion blur help the AI read the room's structure and produce cleaner surfaces.

  • Treat results as inspiration

Furniture sizes and spacing are visual estimates. Measure your room and check real products before buying anything you saw in a design.
