Choose contrast with the background
A dark jacket against a light wall separates more cleanly than a gray shirt on a gray sofa. If you can reshoot, change the backdrop.
Check hair and see-through edges
Flyaway hair, fur, veils and glass are the hardest areas. Zoom in on the result and plan a small touch-up if those edges matter.
Keep one clear main subject
A single product or person in focus gives a more predictable cutout than a crowded group shot or a cluttered shelf.
